Gastronomic Adventures with Chef Dominique at La Baume Victoire
LA BAUME VICTOIRE
Gastronomy is the foundation of my program. The food we prepare will be delicious, inventive, plentiful, well balanced and adaptable to accommodate everyone’s tastes and any diet or health restrictions. Small group size – 8 maximum per session – guarantees one-on-one attention from the chef. We will cook with olive oil, an integral part of Provencal cooking and the key to our health and longevity. We will properly use herbs, spices and the minimum amount of salt to compliment each dish (and sel de Camargue will always be on the table if needed). All meals will be accompanied by wine produced by local and Rhone Valley wineries. Flavor of Provence combines my passions for teaching, cooking, sharing food and eating. I created this custom program to provide people with a hands-on experience of the cuisine and lifestyle of one of France's most beautiful regions: Provence. the cuisine of Provence. As my guest in a traditional Provencal home, La Baume
Victoire, you’ll have mornings to shop for our ingredients and afternoons to
explore local villages and restaurants. Each evening, I’ll teach you how to
prepare classic Provencal dishes, which we’ll leisurely eat together while
sampling local wines. All the while, you will be surrounded by wild flowers and
the fragrances of thym (thyme), sarriette (savory), romarin (rosemary) and
fennouil (fennel). The hustle of traffic will be replaced with the chirping of
birds and the buzz of cicadas as you take in the magnificent mountain views that
God created for Matisse, Van Gogh and, now, for you.
